The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) is launching an “Agri-Action” stewardship outreach campaign in 2020 and we need your help!

 

You are invited to a Networking Breakfast to discuss the status of agriculture Best Management Practices (BMP) in the RRCA jurisdiction.  We want to hear your thoughts and ideas on local challenges faced by the agricultural community with the inclusion of BMPs on their farm as well as opportunities for increased BMP awareness and implementation.

 

Below are the event details:

 

  • Who: Farming associations/organizations, consultants and service providers (e.g. crop advisors, drainage contractors, seed suppliers) who can assist farmers/producers with the implementation of Best Management Practices
  • What: We want to help you, help farmers!  The RRCA will introduce participants to a new “Agri-Action” initiative being implemented in the RRCA’s jurisdiction in 2020.  The Agri-Action initiative will include a workshop and tour series, and a one-on-one advisory service for local farmers to learn about Best Management Practices and resources available to them.  We need your help to tailor this initiative to the local agriculture community to ensure success.
  • Where: Cooper Marsh Conservation Area, 20020 County Road 2, South Glengarry
  • When: February 27, 2020; 8:30 am to noon (Breakfast and refreshments included)
  • Cost:  FREE!
