Flood Forecasting

Note: The Flood Forecasting feature of this website is currently in BETA testing mode.

Current Flood Status:

Depending on watershed conditions, the flood status will be one of the following.

Watershed Condition Indicators

Normal:
Current Conditions are Normal

High Water Safety Bulletin:
The RRCA is tracking weather conditions to assess the potential for flooding. Rivers, streams and ponds may be unsafe for recreational and other activity.

Flood Advisory:
Flooding is possible. Municipalities and individuals should prepare.

Flood Warning:
Flooding is occurring or is about to occur. Municipalities and individuals should take action to deal with flood conditions. This may include road closures and evacuations. The warning may include forecasts of how high the water will rise and the time of the peak.


In the event of a flood status of anything other than normal, the RRCA will issue a media release and advise our member municipalities.
