Categories & Awards

A finisher’s medals will be awarded to all participants who finish the race.  The participants must cross the finish line prior to the assigned cut-off time which is 4:00 pm.  If you cross the finish line after the cut-off time, you can still receive the finisher’s medal by either presenting yourself at the banquet hall (Char Lan Recreation Centre) in Williamstown or by contacting the office of the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (Monday to Friday)


Top finishers are awarded place medals in each category.  Place medals are given as follows:

Class Awards
Kayaks: Single, Over 14 feet long Top Three
Kayaks: Single, 14 feet and under Top Three
Kayaks: Single, Student (18 or younger) Top Three
Kayaks: Double Kayaks Top Three
Canoes: Pro Boat Category Top Three
Canoes: 17 Foot Open Top Three
Canoes: Men’s Recreational Top Three
Canoes: Women’s Recreational Top Three
Canoes: Mixed Recreational Top Three
Canoes: Adults and Youth (Youth is 18 or younger.) Top Three
Canoes: Student Boys ** Top Three
Canoes: Student Girls ** Top Three
Canoes: Student Mixed ** Top Three
Masters *** Recognition within class
** Student categories, Both participants in high school and 18 or younger
*** Both participants must be of Master’s age; men, 50 yrs or Older, women, 45 yrs or older. Pro Class racers are not eligible. Must also be entered into one of the categories mentioned above

 

For those of you who cannot attend the banquet and have placed in the top finishers,  (check the standings to see if you finished in the top rankings),  please contact the RRCA  at 613-938-3611 or info@rrca.on.ca to make arrangements to receive your medal.   Medals that are not picked up or delivered, will be recycled for the following year.
