Notice March 8, 2024: The latest forest management operations have wrapped up at Gray's Creek. Trails east of the roadway through the Conservation Area are now open to visitors. Please note that some areas of the trails may still be muddy due to recent snowmelt.

The RRCA selectively removed hazardous and dead or dying trees along the trails at Gray's Creek and will be replacing them this fall with a variety of native species. 


Gray's Creek Conservation Area is located just minutes east of Cornwall, in the Township of South Glengarry. It offers over 43 hectares of natural landscape for the your enjoyment. This diverse area is protected, enhanced and restored by the Raisin Region Conservation Authority.

Gray’s Creek includes 3.2 kilometers of meandering trails that are open year round, allowing users to enjoy nature in all its seasonal settings. Explore the trails and keep an eye out for the wide variety of animals, songbirds, amphibians and waterfowl that inhabit this significant Conservation Area. Geocaches are also hidden throughout the Conservation Area.

Visitors can enjoy cycling, hiking and walking their pets both on the nature trails and the paved bike path. 

Gray’s Creek also offers a self-guided arboretum tour and a picturesque family park with picnic area, play structure, and charcoal barbecues for your convenience. An outhouse is located near the play structure, and public washrooms (open from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays) is located on the east side of the shop building. 

Dogs are permitted at the Gray's Creek Conservation Area and the Gray's Creek trails but must remain on a two-metre leash at all times. Dog owners must also be responsible to pick up after their pet. Dog waste disposal stations can be found at several trail entrances.

During the winter, spend time snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Snowshoe rentals are available by contacting the office during working hours (weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).  To reserve your snowshoes, please contact the office at (613) 938-3611 a few days in advance to confirm availability. The cost is $8.00 per pair/per day or $12.00 per pair/per weekend. Cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. **School groups and non-profit organizations are eligible for a 50 percent discount. A copy of your credit card or driver's license is required at time of pick up.
