Gray's Creek Conservation Area

RRCA is once again working with TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) to bring TD Tree Days to Gray’s Creek Conservation Area. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, community members are invited to take part in a tree planting event that will strengthen the tree canopy and enhance wildlife habitat at this popular greenspace located across the southern end of the Cornwall–South Glengarry boundary.

The event is a great opportunity for people to come together outdoors, get their hands in the soil, and make a lasting contribution to a shared space the community enjoys year-round.

As space is limited, community members interested in taking part are asked to register in advance through the TD Tree Days website at tdtreedays.com.

This year’s planting will fill see 300 native conifers added to strategic spots along the roadway through the Conservation Area. The trees will include white pine, balsam fir, tamarack, white spruce, and eastern hemlock.

TD Tree Days is the flagship volunteer and urban greening program of TD FEF. This year, TD is working with 75 organizations to plant over 30,000 trees and shrubs, building on more than 590,000 trees planted across the TD North American footprint since 2010.

Located at 18045 County Road 2, Cornwall, Gray’s Creek Conservation Area offers 3.5 kilometres of nature trails, a park and picnic area, playground, marina, and boat launch. Thanks to previous support from TD FEF, the Conservation Area is also home to an edible forest, self-guided arboretum tour, and native plant demonstration site.
