The 53rd annual Raisin River Canoe Race is set to take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Pre-registration will be opening soon. In-person registration may be available on a first-come first-served basis depending on availability, on Race Day (April 11) beginning at 9 am at St. Andrew's Catholic School (17283 County Rd 18, St Andrew's West). Please note that the post-race dinner will be held at the St. Mary's Centre (19641 County Rd 19, Williamstown, ON K0C 2J0) this year.
The Raisin River Canoe Race is one of the longest canoe races in Eastern Ontario. First started in 1973, the 30km course runs from St. Andrews West to Williamstown. The race is always held during the spring freshet when water levels are high and flows are favourable for paddlers. Thanks to the support from our funders and the Race Safety Committee (South Glengarry and South Stormont Fire Departments, Amateur Radio Emergency services, OPP and OPP Auxiliaries) we can coordinate a successful race year after year.

We are offering discounts of $10 per boat for student paddlers for online registrations.
Please note canoes over 17 feet are considered to be in the "pro" category. Canoes under 16 feet are considered "recreational" and those between 16 and 17 feet fall into the "17 Foot Open" category.
The RRCA has a limited quantity of canoes available to rent.
