The Raisin Region Conservation Authority’s (RRCA) first Conservation Area in South Stormont recently received an official name after a nearly month-long public consultation: Limestone Ridge Conservation Area. The name refers to the site’s centuries-long connection to limestone extraction. The 105-acre Conservation Area, made up of provincially significant wetland and forests, is currently under active restoration by the RRCA.
