Grade 5 students from Eamer's Corners Public School recently helped plant trees and wildflowers at the Gambhir Memorial Urban Forest in Cornwall. The educational planting event was made possible by Dr. Indu Gambhir, who donated the Forest to the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) in 2015. To date, students have planted over 1,000 trees at the Forest by students at the Forest. Landowners looking to leave their own natural legacy through land donations to the RRCA can learn more at rrca.on.ca/Donate.
