Planning to spend more time on the river this year? Consider a seasonal boat slip at RRCA's marina at Gray's Creek Conservation Area. Located strategically at the mouth of Gray’s Creek, the marina comfortably provides 128 open slips during the boating season. Supporting facilities include a large parking area, launching ramp, and service building that sells gas, oil and other marine sundries. Both day and seasonal boaters are welcome.
While the marina is currently closed for the season – reopening on April 28 – the RRCA administration office remains open. Boaters interested in securing a seasonal slip can view pricing and application forms at rrca.on.ca.
“Some of our seasonal boaters have been with us for decades,” says RRCA Administrative Assistant, Josianne Sabourin. “We look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces this summer for our 46th boating season.”
Located just minutes east of Cornwall, at 18045 County Road 2, the marina is just one of the amenities found at Gray’s Creek Conservation Area. This popular nature spot offers over 43 hectares of natural landscape for the public’s enjoyment, including 3.2 kilometres of meandering trails that are open year-round, allowing users to connect with nature in all its seasonal settings. Visitors can enjoy cycling, hiking, and walking their on-leash pets on both the nature trails and the paved bike path.
Gray’s Creek also offers a picturesque family park with a picnic area, play structure, and charcoal barbecues. A self-guided arboretum tour provides an opportunity to learn about dozens of native trees and shrubs. Geocaches are also hidden in strategic spots. An outhouse is located near the play structure, and public washrooms (open from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays) are located on the east side of the shop building.
Gray’s Creek is one of RRCA’s three Conservation Areas, along with Cooper Marsh and Charlottenburgh Park, which are also located along County Road 2. To learn more, and to reserve your boat slip today, visit the RRCA website at rrca.on.ca or contact (613) 938-3811 or info@rrca.on.ca.
