To help with monitoring the Marsh’s biodiversity, the RRCA is organizing a long-form, virtual bioblitz. With the help of iNaturalist’s free Seek mobile app, visitors to Cooper Marsh are encouraged to engage their inner biologist and identify the various plant and animal species they find during their visits.

The Seek app, available for both iOS and Android, is a powerful and easy to use tool for the local community to help in biodiversity monitoring. Visitors to Cooper Marsh can identify and learn about the plants and animals found at the Marsh simply by snapping a picture on their phone. Then, with the push of a button, the location of their observations can be shared on the app, providing the RRCA with valuable data about the species living in the marsh.
