The building you are standing in is called a blind. These structures are designed for watching wildlife without disturbing the animals. This allows the animals to feel more comfortable and lets us see more of their natural behaviours. For a blind like this one to work effectively, it is important to maintain a low level of noise to avoid alerting wildlife to your presence. From this blind you may be able to spot waterfowl swimming in the open water or turtles basking on one of the floating platforms.
