Hunting at Roxborough Forest

Hunters may request permission to hunt at the RRCA-owned Roxborough Forest in North Stormont (Robinson’s Corners Road, Lot 2, Concession 4, North Stormont).

To request permission, please fill out our Hunting Request Application Form and submit the completed form to:

Terms and Conditions for Hunting Permits

1.    Hunters must provide proof of minimum $2 million liability insurance coverage for their hunting activities before receiving a hunting permission letter (e.g., Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters membership, or other insurer).
2.    It is the hunter’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws, including those specifically regulating hunting activities.
3.    No motorized vehicles are permitted on any property owned by the RRCA at any time.
4.    Tree stands and blinds must be portable and must be removed by December 31st.  Tree stands may only be used between September 15 and December 31. All other structures are prohibited. RRCA assumes no responsibility for tree stands, blinds, or other equipment left on the Authority’s property and has the right to remove tree stands after the set period.
5.    Camping is not permitted on any RRCA property.
6.    All hunters are required to carry their RRCA hunting permission card or letter with them when hunting on RRCA property.
7.    Trap and target shooting, or any other use of a firearm or bow, not related to the act of hunting is strictly prohibited.
8.    This permit does not convey any trapping rights.  The hunter must not interfere with existing trapper activities.
9.    Any hunter found to be in violation of the rules outlined above may face suspension of recreational privileges for the remainder of the hunting season and/or be barred from receiving a hunting permit in the future. Failure to comply with any provisions of this document may result in loss of hunting privileges and may prompt intervention from the Ontario Provincial Police and/or Ministry of Natural Resources.
10.    RRCA reserves the right to suspend hunting activities at any time, including but not limited to reasons such as ensuring the safety of RRCA staff and contractors working on the property, safeguarding the public, or prompting wildlife conservation.
11.    The hunter is responsible to pay the applicable hunting fee before receiving a hunting permission letter.
