Limestone Ridge Conservation Area

About this Conservation Area

Limestone Ridge Conservation Area is a 105-acre natural space made up of provincially significant wetland and forest habitat. In 2024, this property was donated to the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) by the Township of South Stormont for perpetual preservation and maintenance.

In 2025, the RRCA’s Board of Directors selected this property to become the RRCA’s next Conservation Area, and the first in the Township of South Stormont. Other RRCA Conservation Areas include Cooper Marsh and Gray’s Creek.

The name “Limestone Ridge Conservation Area” was chosen for the site by the Township of South Stormont, the RRCA, and the community at large after a public vote held in 2026.

Restoration Work

The RRCA and project partners are currently working on site restoration activities, including invasive species management, site cleanup, hydrological assessments, and more. A Conservation Area master plan is underway for the creation of a trail system and other amenities and will include further public consultation.

Public access to the site is not available at this time.
